You may have seen the Lorelei Girl Dress that I made for PiePie and posted last week.  If not, be sure to take a minute to check it out!  I can't believe how cute it turned out and it was made from a bed sheet!

When I found out that there was also a Lorelei Women's Dress pattern I knew I had to have it.

Here is my Lorelei Women's Dress...

I'm am so incredibly thrilled with how great this dress turned out thanks to Elizabeth's amazing pattern, detailed instructions and professional techniques used in the tutorial.

The Lorelei Women's Dress pattern comes in sizes 12 different sizes, 00 to 20 and cup sizes A-DD.

You know what that means?  You can get a completely custom fit with this pattern.  It also means that for those of you that have been blessed/cursed with a large bust, a full bust adjustment is not needed!

My dress was made with quite the range of sizes from a 00 to 4, but as you can see it fits like a glove.

I decided to make this dress using lace and chiffon... two fabrics I have never actually sewn with before.

There may have been some cursing and seam ripping going on during the construction of this dress due the the fabrics I chose, but in the end I think it turned out perfect.

I used an invisible zipper for the back closure.  Elizabeth does a great job of explaining how to install the zipper in the tutorial.  If you are afraid of the zipper, don't be, it's not difficult.

You may have noticed the double hem of the lining of the dress.  That was a design choice I made to add a bit of extra interest design requirement when I accidentally cut the lining way too short for my comfort or taste! Oops!

I'll be wearing this dress to my sister's wedding in July and I found that there are several ways to accessorize the dress, but I can't decide what I like best.

Can you help me choose?

Which one do you like best?  Coral belt, ivory belt, aqua belt or no belt?

    1. Thanks Ula! I have not done a post about my setup, but I've been meaning to! It is really just a simple paper background next to the sliding glass door in our kitchen.

  6. You look beautiful and the dress fits perfectly! It's a toss up between the coral and aqua belt, but I kind of like it without the belt as well. So I guess I'm no help at all :)

    1. Thank you Teri! So far I've had votes for all of the options, so I guess it's just gonna be a last minute decision. At least no one told me that they hated any of the options! ;)

  7. Gorgeous work! I like the coral belt best I think -- but honestly, they all work. It's a great dress on you and perfect for a wedding! Thanks for linking up at Inspire Us Thursdays!

    1. Thank you Ren! I still haven't decided which one to wear! I think I'll just take the coral and aqua with me to Florida and probably decide the day of.
